Drawing on her experience as a musician, mathematician, and designer, and 15 years in a multidisciplinary architecture and engineering firm, she embraces both creative and analytical ways of thinking that position the architect as a strategic innovator.
urbanID has developed a unique offering that combines strategic advisory, human-centred methodologies, and design validation through simulation to inform and guide projects from the earliest stages. Her approach integrates client discovery workshops, project strategy and briefing, design direction, and client-side advisory with qualitative methods including user personas, journey mapping, contextual inquiry, and stakeholder engagement. Where relevant, this is supported by digital simulations of pedestrian movement, operational flow modelling, and scenario-based visualisations to stress-test design strategies and improve alignment. This methodology enables clients to reduce risk, evaluate options with confidence, and deliver environments that integrate people, process, and technology while maintaining clarity of vision and commercial viability.
As academic design lecturer at RMIT School of Architecture & Urban Design Annelise continues to explore and innovate how we can enhance our deliver of evidence based design. -
